Westford
rolled 6-0. After a
quick scoring deuce,
Mikayla Forsey took over the goalkeeping duty for the remainder of the

Fortin dropped in a high volley from the top of the box as the final
whistle
blew. This game

and
Hailey Burkhart proved to be crowd-pleasers in this one.

For the
second time this year Michael Farmer started the game against Edmunds
with an
early goal and the team was unable to hold the lead.
Westford started the game very well,
containing Edmunds to their own end.
Thomas Vanzo passed the ball to Farmer
who put the ball in the net. The
second half was a different story as
Edmunds controlled play and scored two unanswered goals to take the
victory.

The boys
notched another win, their 4th in the last 5 games, with a 5-1
performance. The game got off to a slow
start with with only one goal in the first half scored by Andrew
Barrows on an
assist from Calvin Elmore. The second
half proved to be much more exciting as Westford stepped up their
intensity and
put the ball in the net four more times.
Cole Matarazzo's goal was scored from the head of Daniel Palker
&
Corey Rainville tallied his first goal of the season on an assist from
Michael
Farmer. Thomas Vanzo scored on a pass
from Patrick Roy and Ben Adams also added a goal on another assist from

In a

scoring in the 7th
and 10th minutes of the game. Michael
Farmer played an outstanding game assisting on all 4 goals. A pass from Farmer to
Andrew Barrows started
the scoring; next he helped Calvin Elmore get his first goal with a
nice
cross. The scoring
continued with Michael
getting two more assists on goals by Calle Emanuelsson and Ben Adams. The Team passed
the ball exceptionally well
and kept the ball in the offensive end for most of the game. Daniel Palker and Seldon

In
another rematch from earlier in the season in which Westford pulled out
a 1-0
win. This time Georgia
turned the tables and squeaked out a 1-0 win for
themselves. Both
teams played well with
two contrasting styles boom ball vs. small ball.
It was a boom ball that won it for Georgia.
A Georgia
player kicked a bouncing ball high in the air towards
the goal and bounced up over the keepers head for the lone goal of the
match. The Westford
team never gave up
but in the end could not punch in a goal.

Albert D. Lawton School (Essex Jct.)
–
travel out of Westford Village southward onto route 128. Travel just
over 9 miles until you come to the intersection of route 128 and 15. At
the light move straight ahead. You will pass through a set of lights
and then the light at Butler’s Corner, curving sharply left.
Travel through 3 more sets of lights, all the while on route 15 until
you come to Essex Junction’s 5-corner lights. Bear left onto
Maple Street. From this turn at the 5 corners, travel approximately
½ mile.
Colchester Middle School
– Use the
directions to get to Milton until you . Travel south out of Milton on
route 7 past Chimney Corners. Go straight ahead down the hill at the
fork with route 2A (stay on route 7) then uphill again for
approximately 1 mile until coming to the light at Severance Road. Turn
right going past Shadow Egg Farm and on toward Mallets Bay for
approximately 3-4 miles. You will pass the Colchester Police Department
Building on your right and the middle school will follow shortly on the
same side. Parking is located in front and on the side of the building.
Edmunds School (Burlington) -
travel out of
Westford
Village southward on route 128. Travel just over 9 miles until you come
to the intersection of route 128 and 15. At the light, bear left onto
route 15. Travel to the 5 corners in Essex Jct. and onto Ethan Allen
Highway. Pass the fairgrounds on your right, Fort Ethan Allen and St.
Michaels College. After the second light into St. Michaels College, you
will start downhill as you move toward Winooski Centre. However, you
will need to get into the left lane and enter I-89 South just under and
past the Interstate bridge. You will cross the Winooski River and
uphill for approximately 2 miles. Get off the Interstate at Staples
Plaza/Sheraton exit. Travel up over on route 2 passed the main UVM
campus. This turns into Main Street. Make sure you are in the straight
ahead lane at the light beside Allen House(on your left) and the UVM
Green on your right. You will start down the hill passed Grasse Mount
and Champlain College buildings. Edmunds School will be on your left at
the next light. Turn left here for the school entrance.
Essex Middle School - travel out
of Westford
Village southward on route 128. Travel just over 9 miles until you come
to the intersection of route 128 and 15. At the light, bear left onto
route 15. Travel only ¼ mile until you turn right onto Sand
Hill Road. The entrance to the school used to be possible off from
Foster Road (in fact is still listed as such on Mapquest.com, but the
entrance has been blocked now for over a decade. Do not turn right onto
Foster Road.) Pass Foster Road and continue for another ¼
mile. Look for green and white signage indicating the entrance to the
school on your right. Once on this roadway, you will go approximately
½ mile past the first school and onto the further parking
lot – beware! The sign directions here can be a bit tricky
– especially if cars are coming out as you’re
entering. The further school structure is your location.
Georgia School – travel
north on
route 128
out of the village toward Fairfax. Turn left onto route 104 at the
junction just above the Village of Fairfax (next to J&L
Hardware). Travel northward about 4 miles until you see the
intersection with route 104A on your left. Take this route traveling 5
miles until you reach the intersection of route 7. Here, turn right and
travel up route 7 for approximately 3 miles. At Georgia Centre you will
see a small market on your left and the town centre building on your
right. ¼ miles beyond this on your right you will see the
signage for the school. We suggest you use the upper parking area
closest to the gymnasium, but be forewarned – sometimes the
parking in this area forces a less convenient location further down in
the lot.
Grand Isle School–
travel north on
route
128 out of the village toward Fairfax. Turn left onto route 104 at the
junction just above the Village of Fairfax (next to J&L
Hardware). Approximately 5 miles north, turn left onto route 104A.
Travel approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction. Turn right
onto route 7 traveling ½ mile north and getting on I-89
south. Travel approximately 9 miles to exit 17. At the junction of
route 2, turn right at exit ramp light. Travel approximately 12 miles
west through South Hero Village and Keeler’s Bay. Now you are
headed north. Approximately 6 miles further up route 2, you will reach
an intersection marking the centre of Grand Isle. Just ahead will see
the Grand Isle School on the right. Look for a white and red sign. Just
beyond you will see the Hyde Log Cabin, another recognition landmark
for the school.
School Street School (Milton) –
Travel
north out of Westford Village on Route 128. Approximately 1 mile out of
the Village, turn left onto the Westford-Milton Road. You will go
uphill sharply. Travel approximately 7 miles. As you
approach______________ Street, turn left onto this. Go ahead about
½ miles until you see a “T” connection
on your right called_________________. Turn onto this, crossing the
railroad tracks – then up over a small hill. Bear right and
continue for approximately another ½ mile. You will see the
school on your left. Although there is parking on this side of the
road, you will often find it difficult to find parking here –
consider using the somewhat less convenient parking on the opposite
side of the road.
St. Albans City School –
travel
north on
route 128 out of the village toward Fairfax. Turn left onto route 104
at the junction just above the Village of Fairfax (next to J&L
Hardware). Travel northward just over 11 miles on route 104 until you
come to the light at the intersection of the I-89 Access Road. (You
will know this by passing Collins-Perley Sports Facility on your
immediate left.) Turn left and go just under 1 mile until you intersect
with route 7. Turn right onto S. Main Street. Go into the centre of
town until you reach a collection of lights. Make sure you get into the
turn left lane as you approach this point. (You will know this by
seeing Taylor Park on your right.) Turn down the hill, past the new
courthouse that will be on your left, and across the railroad tracks.
This distance will be just about 1 mile. Now, on your right you will
see a church. Just on its approach, watch carefully for Elm Street.
Turn right here. Travel ahead straight for approximately 1 more mile
through suburban neighbourhoods. When you’ve passed a stop
sign and railroad tracks (rather bumpy ones too) start looking
carefully on your left. The school sits back slightly from the road,
but you will see it and several bits of parking on the front and side.
We suggest you park on the side lot – most doors are locked
except on this approaching side.
St. Albans Town School –
travel
north on
route 128 out of the village toward Fairfax.
Immediately on your right
you will be beside a gasoline station. Just at its end, you can make
out the signage for the school. You’ll turn right and go up
and toward the right into the parking area.

you pass by the Williston “box store” region, look
on your right to enter I-89 via the north-bournd ramp. Merge onto I-189
south. As you leave this area approximately 1 mile down the road,
you’ll want to get into the centre or left lane. Turn left
onto Shelburne Road/Route 7 and continue for 5 miles. When you come to

area!) This short 1.5 mile road leads to the junction of VT Route 15.
Turn left onto this route and travel through Jericho just over 3 miles.
On your right go onto River Road. Only one tenth of a mile later you
will espy Browns River Middle School. Distance: 13 miles time: about 30
minutes
Shelburne Community School (Lacrosse)

0.5
miles from Westford School to the Village Common. Turn right onto VT
Rt. 128 S. toward Essex Town. Travel approximately 8 miles until you
reach the junction of Rt. 128 and Route 15. Proceed through the light

your left you will see the Shelburne Community School. Total estimated
time: 45 minutes Total distance: approx.25 Miles
South Burnington (C. Douglas Cairns Arena)

From Westford School, turn right and travel 0.5 miles to the Village
Common. Turn right onto VT Rt. 128 South traveling just over 8 miles

tree growth and recently other buildings partially obscure its view.
