Present: Nancy Lynn, Jessica Carpenter, Tom Treece, Bradley Revoir, Jeff Maher, Jamie (NU Nursing student), Lola Noyes, Shaun Driscoll

Group met and brainstormed goals for 06-07:

· Host a school-wide wellness day during fall and spring semester. (?10/12/06 for fall)

· Establish working relationship with VT FEED program.

· Plan and provide for a hunger banquet in collaboration with teaching faculty. ( ? Feb)

· Plan for consideration of wellness oriented inservice with motivational speakers during staff development time.

· Ensure continued offering of PHIT club.

· Completion of the School Health Index.

· Complete the wellness policy and submit draft proposal to policy and curriculum committee.

· Complete revisions/updates to all other health policies:

1. AIDS/HIV infection

2. Guidelines for providing education to students with AIDS/HIV infection

3. Alcohol and drug abuse on school property or at school activities - students

4. Student medication

5. Tobacco prohibition

Discussed trying to get new culinary/hospitality instructor to join committee in addition to the new PE staff

Next mtg: 9/18/06 - time to be arranged by administration due to inservice day schedule
