Present: Donna Bartolucci, Tom Treece, Nancy Lynn, Jesse Carpenter, Nancy Pope, Sue Chickering, Shaun Driscoll, Joseph Keifer, Lola Noyes
Meeting began
Joseph offered information on what is happening in other communities.
Brainstormed goals:
1. Encourage healthy values/lifestyle changes.
2. Engage students and community.
3. Offer low-cost and quick healthy taste-testing with recipes
4. Present visual information on impact of diet ( ? assist of Sylvia Gaboriault of CVMC)
5. Provide fun/entertainment via musical offering/drama club presentation/sports teams/arts
6. Start small – “less is more”
What do we want to do:
“Walk to school day” hunger banquet
wellness day/week super-size-me offering
One page handout/flyer engage peer groups
Multi-faceted engagement
When: Tuesday, April 11th (Nancy Lynn will check with Beth Bicknell to see if date conflicts with other school activities, Tom Treece will talk with student council/class officers to engage students)
