The two students piloting Capstone Projects were not ready to present information regarding their letters of intent and community consultants, so this agenda item was passed over until the next meeting.

General information regarding the research paper component of the Capstone pilot was distributed and discussed (see attached). More specific guidelines will be discussed at the January meeting.

The committee then considered the previously submitted draft application for independent study academic credit. Doriann Prescott had provided input regarding the difficulty that special ed students might encounter selecting goals from the Fields of Knowledge. The committee felt that case workers or aides could assist them in interpreting the goal statements and rewriting them in a more user-friendly form. Guidelines for completing the process will be clarified in January.
