This picture is of our school. Our
school is really big and it is a lot of fun. There is a sign at the top of
the school that says Ferrisburgh Central School. It is really fun to learn
here. We like all of our specials.
Outside the school, there is a flag that the sixth graders
raise on the flagpole every day. There is a parking lot with special places
for the buses to drop off and pick up children. There are also special places
for visitors to park. There is a thermometer right outside our door.
There are flower gardens all around the
school. Last year, every student planted a red tulip in the garden. We also
have some vegetable gardens.
In our classroom, we
have steps by a window. We read books there and when Mrs. Bolduc reads to
us, we sit there. We can also listen to tapes on the steps.
This is the calendar area. We keep
track of how many days we have been in school. We have a pad that flips and
has the numbers 0 to 9 on it. So each day, we change the number on the chart.
There is a paper cake at the calendar area to celebrate peoples' birthdays.
We write the names of the people that are having a birthday on the cake.
There is also a temperature and a place for the day of the week.
We have a lot of specials. On Wednesdays,
we come to the computer lab. Sometimes we play games and sometimes we work.
We have library on Monday and on Tuesday, we have Physical Education. Sometimes
we play a soccer game. We have our own spaces or alleyways in the gymnasium.
Sometimes we get to play outside. On Thursdays, we have two specials. We
have Art and Physical Education. On Fridays, we have music. We really like
going to the specials.
After lunch, we have a recess. We play
games outside like kickball and basketball. Sometimes we play Star Wars or
a Pokemon game that we can play.
